Making Sense Of Those Confusing Online Xbox 360 Reviews

By Kris Saelen

Xbox 360 Review

Xbox 360 Review

Xbox 360 reviews are not hard to come by, but can be hard to understand and difficult to maneuver through if you are not familiar with technical jargon. While most Xbox 360 reviewers are self-professed “tech geeks,” many gamers merely want to play a game and know what console to buy.

For this reason, I’d like to outline the basics of the Xbox 360 reviews for those of us that lack the technological knowledge we need to decipher the coding in most of the articles found online.

Price: The price of the console is something that is highly debated throughout Xbox 360 reviews found online. While some state that the price is reasonable, others disagree and say the console is actually overpriced. The explanation is simple. You get what you pay for, and shouldn’t pay for more than you need. Xbox 360 has many features that don’t all involve gaming. Owners can use this console to download music and movies, search the internet, or watch Blu-ray videos. If you intend to do all of these things, the around five-hundred dollar price tag is reasonable enough. Xbox 360 Reviewers that reviewed the product merely for its gaming capabilities found that the price tag was a little much to spend on a machine to play video games with.

Appearance: The size of the console is not as bulky as the original Xbox 360, but not as thin or “flimsy” looking as the Playstation 2. Xbox 360 reviewers brag that it fits perfectly into nearly any entertainment stand and the color of the console gives it a “cool” appearance without clashing with any home decor. The buttons on the console are also easy to find and the machine powers up effortlessly.

Controllers: Many Xbox 360 reviewers cited Microsoft’s faulty planning of the original Xbox controller as cause for concern before they tried the product, but were pleasantly surprised. It seems Microsoft has managed to repent for their prior sins by creating a controller that is easy to hold onto with easily reached buttons with good reaction timing.

Online Features: This console boasts the best of the best in online gaming, many Xbox 360 viewers claim with their numerous levels of online gaming packages that can be purchased on the Xbox home site or through the console itself. Xbox 360 reviewers agree that the online gaming is a huge selling point of this console.

All in all, the Xbox 360 seems to be worth the money to more advanced gamers, but probably not a good fit for young kids or newcomers into the video game world. But one thing’s for sure- all Xbox 360 reviews agree it is a big step up from the previous model.

PSP Cheats - Making the Most of Your Games

By Igor Goncharuk

Cheats For Psp

Cheats For Psp

Have you ever wondered if there was more to your game than met the eye? Perhaps you long to beat the game in record time, have unlimited lives, unlock secret characters without having to make your way through the entire game to do so? PSP cheats and walkthroughs can help give you the gaming experience that you want, with ease.

Cheats - PSP cheats come in a variety of different flavors. Usually, these types of PSP cheats are codes that you enter at a specific screen in the game, or a specific point before the game loads completely.

Walkthroughs have become almost ubiquitous with RPGs, as well as many other types of PSP games.

Helpful Tips - These fall more under the “Walkthrough” category than they do under PSP cheats, but tips can make the difference between enjoying the game and being frustrated. Tips will help you make the most of your gaming experience, without giving away the entire game, the way a walkthrough does.

Combined, PSP cheats, walkthroughs and tips constitute an enormous body of knowledge. Game cheats have widely been implemented in games since the early generations to allow people who have conquered the game to add a bit of replay value through the fun of cheats.

Applying In-game PSP Cheat Codes
This is to where most of the cheaters will resort, whenever they get stuck or just want to have simple fun with the game. Cheat codes vary from game to game while others may not have cheat codes at all. The basic form of in-game cheat codes requires the player to enter a series of button sequences to activate it.

Downloading Game Data
Just about every PSP game saves data on to the memory card so that a player’s progress can be continued on a later play-through. It can also be used to store settings and unlocked parts of the game if ever. For those who may not have fully finished the game, downloading another person’s game data can count as cheating too because it is another way for one to enjoy all the features in the game or reaching a certain part of the game without earning to do so. Game data files can be found in forums and cheating web sites.

Using a Cheat Device
In the event where cheat codes aren’t enough or available, you can consider purchasing a cheat device, such as the Action Replay, to expand the cheating capabilities to a high degree. Cheating devices work by modifying any data that goes into the PSP’s RAM so that none of the game data is being affected. The results can be erratic at times and may sometimes render the game unplayable.

Hacking the Game Directly
This is for advanced users who do not have a cheating device at hand. The results of directly editing the game’s contents can be very similar to the results made by a cheating device.

Using cheats - good or bad?
You can overdo it and cheating can quickly spoil the thrill of the game, especially if the game hasn’t been finished the right way.

Copying PS2 Video Games

By Rose Basile

Ps2 Video Game

How many PS2 users have had their video games damaged by wear and tear? Everyone who owns a video game console that takes CD and DVDs knows the feeling of not being able to use a game due to scratches. However, copying your PS2 video games is an excellent way to protect your collection and enjoy your games for years to come.

If you’re looking to play copied PS2 video games, there is a lot of technology that can allow your console to read a DVD or even CD copy. The key is to put in a mod chip to play these video games. This mod chip works to allow copied CDs that were not originally coded to work on a PS2 console to boot without problems. Without these mod chips, the system would automatically reject any copied CD.

Installing and using a mod chip can put a lot of pressure on your PS2 game system. Mod chips should only be installed by trained professionals, as it is never advisable to open up your own PS2 console without special training. Make sure to use only the best technology, as a cheap mod chip can ruin your PS2 console.

Creating the right copy of your PS2 video games also requires a special program for your computer. HD Loader is one of the most popular systems for copying and storing your PS2 games on your hard drive. HD Loader allows you to catalog boot and load your games faster, and reduce the wear and tear on your PS2’s laser. Games like Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas that read from the disc most of the time during play will wear out your system, so HD Loader offers many advantages to archiving games that you legally own. With HD Loader you don’t need a mod chip or special equipment, but you’ll need the PS2 Network Adapter, a Playstation 1 game, and an IDE hard drive (Maxtor ones work the best, usually) for continued use, as well as an Action Replay Max to get the hard drive software on the memory card the first time.

Many PS2 users who want to protect their original video game use this technology to back up a disc, or use HD Loader to boot their games faster and keep their laser from being overused. However, users should be careful to not break copyright laws, since buying or downloading a pirated PS2 video game is against the law. This technology helps users restore video games that have been damaged by wear and tear and continue enjoying their PS2 experience. Protect your games and continue to enjoy the best video games in the world for years to come. Back up your collection of PS2 video games today using a mod chip and special software on your PC.
